"what happens when you lose everything" by David Hoffman https://www.ted.com/talks/david_hoffman_on_losing_everything
This is a very motivating speech where David Hoffman describes how he reclaimed himself when he had once lost everything.
David had a fire in his house a few days ago where he lost everything including his valuable books, pictures, antiques. This broke him completely as he is known to be huge collector of such valuable items. When he realized that his camera lens was crushed, he was completely broken and down, as this was a gift from his father.
He states, "I love the Present and Cherish the past". He then called his friends to help him dig up the place where the fire had destroyed his possessions, as he wanted bits and pieces of those wonderful objects that he had treasured. He was also going to reuse all those objects for his upcoming project.
David's sister helped him by taking care of his pictures and she remembers that David was a great snapshot photographer. The Pathos, brought out by David was about the fire that hit his house and how he was shaken and broken.
It is very hard feeling for anyone to lose something but it is important that you can still make something good out of something bad.
